This sort of thing makes me wonder – is the “worship experience” that people have at such places really a spiritual experience, or is it just an emotional response to visual and auditory stimulation?
I can be deeply moved by certain combinations of visuals and music, and having a spiritual experience has nothing to do with it. If worship becomes a multimedia event, why should we think that people are “experiencing God” when really they are being emotionally manipulated by sights and sounds?

You are exactly right, Dawn.
This trend is a terrible one.
The church ought not look like the culture.
We are to be counter-cultural and leave the floor shows to the nightclubs and Vegas casinos.
