Often times I've heard evangelicals speak of God as "the God of second chances."
Is the best way to talk about Christianity? You mess up, and God gives you a second chance?
Christ came not to give us a second (or third, or fourth, or millionth) chance, but to live the perfect life we could never live even if we had all the chances in the world. Christianity is about the realization that no matter how many chances we might be given, we will always mess it up in some way or another. Christ died even for my gazillionth botched chance.
